A little about me
I’ve lived in Johnson City since 2017 when I began engineering school at ETSU. Since then, I’ve been babysitting! First as a part time gig, and now as my full time profession. I’m a cat mom, a lover of singing, silliness, and community. I have worked at a few local daycares but am now on my own offering nannying and babysitting services in Johnson City and neighboring towns.
The community I’ve been invited into here in JC has become a family to me. I feel so privileged to play a part in making our beautiful mountain town a joy-filled, inviting place to call home.
Every family and child I support here is unique and wonderful in their own way. I feel like I get so much from engaging in their lives and aiding in the development of the next generation through child care.
My Approach to Child Care
I like to think my super power is getting to know parents and kids and supporting them on their unique journeys through life.
This means I’m all about communication first. I want to uphold the lessons and values you as parents find most important, all while being true to myself. Kindness, silliness, and playfulness are at the heart of what I do.
One of my favorite parts of babysitting is being invited into kid-world. It brings me so much joy to play with them and be brought into their conversations, imaginations, and silly games.
Showing kids that their world is just as important as adult world helps them feel confident in who they are. That’s a big lesson I hope every child I come into contact with learns.
